I am starting a new blog for this endeavor. If your interested in helping out email me or reply to this post.

Believe it or not I'm an American Red Cross certified CPR/AED and First Aid instructor. I was teaching a class today to a group of mothers and it hit me. I bet many of my readers out there are mommys and daddys and I bet many of them have no clue how to properly perform CPR or Rescue Breathing.
If your interested in learning I can put together a couple of posts demonstrating the skills through text and pictures so that you all may at least learn the basic skills needed when performing a rescue.
Thoughts?

And don't make this post all dirty with "I would love to have you teach me mouth to mouth."
i need to learn oral skills..can you post pictures and instruction for that?
i got the cpr down pat. it's giving a good blow job i need help with. sorry i didnt mean to make it "Dirty" but i figured once NWC, NYM, or Ladylongfellow got here-they'd toss the shit in the mix too.....
*crackin up here*
do it. You never know when you're gonna need CPR.
I think its a great idea. I'd prolly post it as a "suggestion". You never know.
My son wasn't premature but he had serious damage to his lungs at birth. I had to go through a class probably exactly like Storm teaches and yourself.
We honestly could NOT take him home until we were certified. I thought it was a bit silly but...
When he was 7 months old, turning blue while choking on something... The skills we learned is what saved his life.
I truly commend you both for teaching such classes.
and um, a good oral exam is always nice. lol Not on a kid though. *blech*
*cheers!*
Excellent idea. I went on a one-day course years ago, and unfortunately had reason to practice what I learned shortly afterwards. That incident ended tragically, and the whole experience was very traumatic, but that's anther story.
Thanks, KOW.
absolutely should do it, great idea!
Yes please!
LOL KOW re: your first comment. I'm not a mother buth eck I wouldnt mind reading about how to administer it. I think it something everyone should know.
k o w, you were reading my mind....damn, now what am I going to post. I remember back in high school we had to suck face with that plastic dummy so am probably a little rusty! However, if you are interested in showing me in person that could be arranged :)
CPR Clueless! I would very much like to learn!
That almost sounded like porn spam.
I'm going to create a new blog speciffically for this purpose. If anyone out there wants to help reply here or send me an email.
I actually got certified before I had my daughter. I wanted to make sure that if she needed me, I could be there for her...even if it meant breathing the life back into her.
I don't mind helping, mate, but you're not kissing me.
