Your the 3rd person to mention Prague to me. I was actually having dinner with Miss M the other night discussing this very subject when an older couple at the next table interupted us and simply said "Prague".
Prague's nice, pretty, and not as cheap as it used to be, if you've never been there and are dead set of Europe, I say go, though 2 weeks in Prague is a bit long, thought you could also go into the mountains, Slovakia (Btratislava) head into Krakow, and perhaps Budapest. But I say Paraguay, it's dirt cheap, the people super nice, the beaches great, and if Montevideo and Punto del Este get boring (which they shouldnt) Buenos Aires is just a short ferry ride away.
But what do you all think of a trans-America ride on the back of a bike? Buy a cheap cruiser, fill it with gas every 300 miles and explore this side of the world.
trans-America ride would be cool, but I'd wanna do it in summer. For $1000, I'd go to the Dominican Republic. I've never been there, ,but it's next on my list-- supposed to be as beautiful as Costa Rica, but cheaper and less irritating and touristy.
My first thought was to see N. America. On a bike and pop a tent as ya go...but to be honest-a thousand dollars might not get ya too far for two weeks with meals, gas, and lodging. Hmm....
Maybe go see WDKY. But I'm also thinkin' MissKow has a point-I'd go back to Seattle in a heartbeat. That city is amazing!
Seattle does rock! Truer words have never been spoken. I know. I live basically 20 minute south. Ah. I could *find* "my" id, call B and we could grab a beer! Woot.

Come over here, mate. I'll buy you that pint.
Your spot on the map is on the list. I just have no clue where the hell to go.
Prague. Most expensive bit is the flight. Once you're there it's the cheapest city ever, with fantastic character and architecture.

You know where I would say :)
I'm looking at late May early June for the trip. I'm really like the idea of 2 weeks on the road seeing N. America.
You're always welcome down here in sunny Florida to visit the mouse.
I say go see Sky....or go visit WDKY or give me the grand and you can stay in my wildlife preserve.
Or..I'm trying to get a group together to do Amsterdam...in May. We'll get high, drink, eat hash brownies and do some window shopping! lol You pick!
May or June eh?
Hmmm....

You're welcome to come and visit us in the ATL. We have two whale sharks in our aquarium. Two of 'em!
two words man "Easy Rider" I'd stay away, America's a scary place, especially in the middle.
